Our home has extensive cedar siding. How do you approach it?
Cedar is demanding. We wash it thoroughly, treat any mildew in the shaded areas, sand and spot-prime weathered or bare wood, and re-caulk the joints winter opened. Then we use a cedar-rated stain or 100% acrylic, named on the estimate — stain or paint depending on the current finish and the look you want. Rushing cedar prep is the most expensive shortcut in this business, so we don't.
It's a large house. Will the finish look consistent everywhere?
That's the test of a crew, and it's why Tim runs ours himself, on site. Same prep standard, same product batch management, same cut-line quality from the front entry to the third gable on the back — and a final walkthrough with you to confirm it before we call it done.
